Origin
Brazil's national drink took shape in the interior of São Paulo around 1918, rooted in the rural cachaça tradition and born as a home remedy for the Spanish flu.
Ingredients
- 2 oz. (60 ml) - Cachaça
- 2 tsp - White Sugar
- 1 pc. - Lime
Method
- Clean the lime and cut of the ends.
- Cut the lime in half and divide the halves into quarters.
- Add lime, sugar and ice to a shaker.
- Shake to combine, but not to dilute.
- Pour everything into a the glass, without straining.
