Origin

By the 1880s, bartenders were calling the whiskey cocktail of spirit, sugar, water, and bitters an old-fashioned whiskey cocktail to distinguish it from newer, fussier styles.

Ingredients

• 2 oz. (60 ml) - Bourbon
• 1 tsp. (5 ml) - Rich Demerara Syrup
• 4 dash - Aromatic Bitters
